296: Storage and Test Tank

Linear static stress analysis of a storage tank and a test tank. All element types of solid, plate and beam elements were used in the analyses. For the storage tank, 2 different designs were analysed and 4 for the test tank. Where appropriate, either half or quarter models were used in the analysis. The majority of the tank designs passed the acceptance criteria, with one exception. In this case, recommendations were given on how to improve the design.
