Static Stress analysis with non-linear contact and fatigue analysis of a container lid. The model was subject to a vacuum pressure. Solid elements were used to represent the geometry. For the fatigue analysis, a strain based approach was used. For the stress analysis, all components passed the acceptance criteria, and the component evaluated in the fatigue analysis was found to have an infinite life.
