386: Wheel Motor Assembly

Linear static stress analysis of a wheel motor assembly. An initial design was analysed with two different load cases with both vertical and horizontal loads. As well as the factor of safety (FoS) on yield strength, a FoS based on an endurance limit was also reported to cover fatigue. Two further design iterations were analysed based on the recommendations given in the previous analyses. Upon comparison with another new design, it was concluded that the new design was preferable due to much better FoS values.
