050: Distillation Column

Modal, response spectrum analysis (RSA), and a linear static stress analysis of a distillation column, using a beam element model. 3 designs were analysed, with the first 2 only being subject to the modal analysis and RSA. The third design was subject to these analyses, but also multiple static stress analyses with different load cases with varying loads, including environmental loads, such as wind. For the RSA and stress analyses, the stresses were reported.
